Back up your data if possible. Tell us whether the technician may access your files for testing. If you need data wiped before return or disposal, ask for secure erasure.

ROCK.IT LLC ("Rock.IT", "we") develops and publishes software, operates web portals, provides hosting, data processing and IT management, repairs computers and communication equipment, produces communication hardware and offers accounting services. In many of these services we handle data that belongs to our clients and their users. This policy explains our responsibilities under the Law of Ukraine "On Personal Data Protection" and the GDPR.

2. When we are a controller
For our own clients and website visitors we process contacts, contracts, invoices and support tickets. For users of our published software and portals we process account data and, where the product includes it, anonymised usage statistics that can be switched off in the settings.
3. When we are a processor
When we host websites, process data, manage IT systems or build software for clients, the client remains the controller of their data. We process it only on their documented instructions, under a data processing agreement, and do not use it for our own purposes. We assist clients in responding to their users' requests and in case of security incidents.
4. Server logs
Our hosting infrastructure keeps technical logs (IP addresses, timestamps, requests) for security and troubleshooting. They are retained for 30 days, then deleted or anonymised.
5. Repairs
Devices may contain personal files. Technicians access storage only where needed for repair and only with your permission. We do not copy, view or keep files unrelated to the fault. Secure erasure is available on request and is performed before disposal of any unclaimed device.
6. Accounting services
For accounting clients we process financial and payroll data on the client's instructions and keep it confidential.
7. Sub-processors and transfers
We may use data centres and cloud providers in Ukraine and the EU. Clients receive a list of sub-processors used for their services and are informed of changes. Transfers outside the EU are made only with appropriate safeguards.
8. Security
Encryption in transit and at rest, access control with individual accounts and multi-factor authentication, regular backups, and incident response procedures with notification to affected clients without undue delay.
9. Retention
- Client contracts and invoices: as required by law.
- Hosted client data: for the contract term, then deleted within 30 days unless the client requests export.
- Logs: 30 days.
- Repair records: 1 year.
10. Your rights
You may access, correct and delete your data, restrict or object to processing, obtain a portable copy and withdraw consent. If we process your data for one of our clients, we will forward your request to them. We reply within 30 days. You may complain to the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights or an EU supervisory authority.
11. Cookies
This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. The server configurator runs in your browser.
